Amy Willcoxon, PsyD

Our bodies are our partners for life, and come equipped with the capacity for self-awareness, healing and living more empowered. Dr. Amy Willcoxon’s unique “embodied” approach to psychotherapy combines evidence-based psychology and yoga principles with standard "talk therapy” to maximize living well now and moving toward accomplishing personal goals. She specializes in treating disordered eating, ADHD, anxiety, and managing chronic illness, informed in part by her own experience as she has worked through these challenges herself. Using a relational psychodynamic approach that is sensitive to clients particular values and goals, Dr. Amy will help you increase awareness of your strengths while working through difficult life experiences and emotions, such that you can live with greater energy, ease, mental clarity and joyfulness.

After more than 15 years of clinical experience in private, school, and medical settings, Dr. Amy opened Willcoxon Psychological Services in 2016, providing psychotherapy, consultation and psychological assessment. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Master's in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance.

Dr. Amy has traveled and worked around the country, exploring variety in work, play, and healing. She was inspired by the natural beauty and warm, welcoming community of the Flathead Valley to settle and establish her home and business. She loves exploring new opportunities for growth-fostering community and adventure in the vast Montana landscape.
